The Shipment

I know I got one of these e-mails about a shipment, I know at least one other member here did. If anyone else did, please post below. Hopefully this will help us somehow, although if it’s snail mail then being sent on Friday might not make it to us until next week.

Good to hear they’re finally sending it. I still haven’t gotten my reply (which may or may not mean anything), so if some of us don’t get it, we’ll need someone to upload scans/photos/etc.

this is my fear too. I’ve got a proxy set up just in case… Just hope people can claim whether or not they received a similar call/e-mail about a shipment so I know who’s going to be affected if anything. As Audrey said, she thinks they’re intentions are to stop this problem…we’ll soon see ha!

I got it too, about 30 mins. ago! I was actually talking to my friends about it when my phone rang. As soon as I saw “Unknown,” I froze and let it go to voicemail. Then I just looked at them and said “I got the call!!”
Not sure if this matters, but mine was slightly different. It said, “Success. We can see the members of the Ward. We no longer require (???). Please inform the group that the Shipments will be sent on this Friday the 26th.”
Anyone know how to transfer a voicemail to your computer??

Saki, yours seems more accurate. I think another member is going to upload the message tonight. I’ll add your name to the list above. Did you also get the e-mail the first time around about the next shipment arriving?

I didn’t, actually. I’ve been checking my email constantly over the past few days, and nothing. :( Did everyone else get it?

I’m a little fuzzy on who got e-mails and who got calls. I got an e-mail first about the shipment arriving, then sent over info (which was the first time the e-mail didn’t bounce me) and then this call.

I sent my info first, didn’t get an email, didn’t get the first call but got this one. Is there some sort of pattern?

I got the call, never received the e-mail about the package though. I will be uploading the message from my VM this evening when I get home. T -0:35 and counting down!

All of my earlier attempts at sending an address bounced, and no email or call about a shipment here, so I guess I’ll be waiting to see what others get.

fret not mrtoasty.. so long as you have info up on this forum i wouldn’t sweat the email bouncing, some who got this cal didn’t get prior e-mails.

and who knows what this ‘shipment’ is really. Might just be a digital thing/link/file/video etc. and not some mailed thing (it’s just the custom postage image on the map that has be thinking otherwise. Can’t wait to have the file uploaded, thanks in advance for that inkstain.

Will it also be sent to people that didnt get the confirmation? I sent my address on Sept. 21st! I hope so…i really want this package..Did i send it too late?

Just checked my voicemail, I got two calls. One is the same message about the shipment going out on the 26th. The other is hard to make out, it says something garbled, then I think it says, “We have all the adresses you sent us. We have them all. Goodbye” If someone tells me how, I’ll upload it for you all to hear.

i’m taking this as a nudge to remove exact addresses. I’m going to take down that googlemap. I think we’re being steered toward that, and I guess I can see why. This will be an interesting 3 days.

By golly. I guess I shouldn’t have sent my first name in with the mailing address xD Made for a wonderfully creepy and exciting message, though.
So yes, I have recieved both calls, but although I sent in my info a while back, I didn’t get an email reply.
Btw, disembodied voice, thanks for calling later in the day rather than while I’m in class. Much appreciated ;)


Also, boomer52 – the way I was going to upload the voicemail before was using the technique outlined on this page, near the bottom, but it requires that you download Audacity (it’s fast and free) and have an audio line-in cable.

Aw, man – I should’ve put my real name in the email!! XD I guess it doesn’t recognize “Saki.”

My second call probably has something to do with the fact that I sent them my address, like, 10 times, because I wasn’t getting a response.

since it’s been referred to as “the shipment” and not “your shipment” in people’s calls it’s very well possible that it’s something that will be sent to all of us, maybe not mailed, but sent electronically at the same time. Maybe the people chosen to get the calls are just the ones to convey the message? we’ll see in a few days I guess.

EDIT: reheard the message, indeed it is “the shipments” so yeah…

That could be true myopic. I’m quite anxious to see what our few chosen ones recieve via snail mail…and it’s entirely possible that all of us, or some of us, will recieve a digital item too.

In any case, here’s hoping it’s not a message reading, “Congratulations, you’re infected!”

i was thinking the item audrey was describing. what better way to learn about an illnesses effects than to experience it first hand ;-)

only other bit of info is more people doing the viral thing with the videos, more names all friending each other, all with the silhouette in front of the tv test pattern.

Ooh yes…now I’m even more excited. xD Hooray for simulated illness!

hm. In all the excitement I had completely forgotten about the videos. They could be planning to post something soon.
And I just noticed – all the videos simulating the “going blind” experience seem to show that it starts with a smallish white spot in your range of vision, that slowly spreads and then suddenly overtakes you. Not sure how to really make that relevant, but it may be helpful to know exactly how it happens.

Maybe overstimulated something…. rods or cones?
Man, I hope they ship on friday, not arrive on friday.. I am going to be watchign the new office! :P

If they ship on Friday, that means we should probably recieve them sometime between Saturday and Tuesday (no mail on Sunday).

I’ll be at the Sox game Thursday, but I’ll be watching the new Office when it goes up online :D
I’ll have to start hounding my mom about whether the package is at my house or not…lol

Okay, tomorrow’s the 26th. The anticipation is killing me!
